Submergible led lamp
We have developed a unique customizable submergible led element for microalgae, cyanobacteria and purple bacteria cultures and a control light device (dimmeration, ON/OFF control, daylight intensity simulation). These devices are the basis of our microalgal technology for labscale experiments.
Our submergible led elements are based on:
- 3000/4000K high quality white leds (OSRAM/SAMSUNG),
- 5000K Toshiba-SSC SunLike™ TRI-R ™ leds, and
- monochromatic leds (deep blue: 450 nm, hyper red: 660 nm, IR for purple bacteria: 850 nm).
Microalgal Optical Density meter
Our biomass sensor technology for microalgae has a light sensor with a photodiode with a maximum sensitivity at 555 nm to measure the light that is not absorbed by chlorophyll (see the figure) when a white light passes through a microalgal sample. As a result, the light measured by the sensor is only affected by the absorption related to the concentration of algal biomass.
