Composition of a "system" or "equipment"
Modular IDEA equipment is composed by (1) a reaction unit with a mixing system (a magnetic stirrer with pH and ORP probes - MAGBASE - in the example), (2) one or more devices with specific functions (a two-head peristaltic pump - PUMPUNIT - in the example) and (3) a logic device (COMMUNIT) connected to (4) an industrial touch panel PC/HMI with specif software for the application.

The example show an equipment that can carry out a batch biological reaction with pH control (pumps for acid / base solutions dosage) and redox potential measurement.

Multiple repetition of a device​/reactor

A networkable device (in the case of the figure a MAGBASE unit) can be implemented any time it is needed within a system with the theoretical limit of 32 devices, 32 analytical sensors (pH/OD/…) and 32 pressure transmitters. This is the case of the implementation of multiple parallel or multiple serial reaction units or when a specific device is needed in multiple units such as PUMPUNITs.
